Nick Green made the Red Sox roster. I wasn't expecting that, but I guess they need infielders, since Julio Lugo is on the DL. Tom Gordon is starting the season on the Diamondbacks' DL.
And John Fay explains why the Reds picked Paul Janish over Adam Rosales:
"With (Alex) Gonzalez's situation we need the defense. (Janish is) our next true shortstop. He worked hard to improve his strength and hitting."
That's great news for Janish, but I'm kind of surprised. I thought they were grooming him to be a utility infielder. They had him playing other infield positions, not just SS as he did in the minors.
