Andy back in the game

I guess the injection helped. Andy Phillips is playing in minor league games now.

Phillips played in a minor-league game yesterday. "I got five at-bats, hit and ran the bases," Phillips said. "Everything went real good." It was Phillips' first game action since March 7. Phillips is slated to play in another minor-league game today and has been cleared to play defense.

Apparently, it was Kei Igawa on the mound for the other team, which happened to the SWB Yankees.

There are several former Yankees with the Pirates this year. Ross Ohlendorf has won a spot as a starting pitcher. Jeff Karstens may win the fifth starter role. Then there's Jose Tabata, who addressed the bizarre story of his wife's alleged kidnapping of a baby girl in a press conference.
