So long to the orange and the white...

Q. How do you keep an Aggie from beating his meat?

A. Paint it orange. The Aggies haven't beaten anything orange in years.

Well, that old joke is no longer true. The Aggies beat the Longhorns today, in a stunning upset. Longhorns quarterback Colt McCoy (whose name sounds almost as "Texas" as "Bubba Crosby") was intercepted three times, and ended up being carried out on a stretcher late in the game.

My sister went to A&M, so I root for the Aggies for her sake.

Good-bye to Texas University!
So long to the Orange and White.
Good luck to the dear old Texas Aggies,
They are the boys who show the real old fight.
The eyes of Texas are upon you
That is the song they know so well (sounds like hell!)
So, good-bye to Texas University...

Meanwhile, Red Hot Mama has added a Bubba Crosby page to her Reds blog.

And I hear the Reds will be changing their uniforms next year. They are getting rid of the sleeveless vest jerseys, and going back to the more traditional style with sleeves. I heartily approve. Perhaps it's just Yankee fan old-fashioned conservatism, but I don't like those sleeveless jerseys.

I don't like the sleeveless shirts either. Tho I'm sure Bubba would be adorable in them. ;-9~~~~
