Janish has a strained oblique

Eleven days after Paul Janish last played, there's finally an update. David O'Brien, the Braves beat writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, posted on Twitter:

#Braves INF Paul Janish strained side muscle diving for ball on shoulder-surgery rehab assignment. Will soon start another rehab in Triple-A
So, when the Gwinnett announcer said Janish was "tender on the left side," he meant it literally. It was his side that was the problem.

I suppose it's good news that it's not his surgically-repaired shoulder. Though oblique strains can linger. Hopefully it's not too serious; if they're expecting him back "soon" it sounds like a mild strain.

What happens to Janish after rehab assignment is up? Does he have options or will he be traded or DFA'd?

Janish has an option left. He will likely be assigned to the Gwinnett Braves when the rehab assignment is up.
