Link-o-Rama

Just a few quick links, before I head off for the salt mines...

John Fay writes about who'll make the Reds' 25-man roster. He says Hamilton's a lock, but still thinks Bubba has a good chance.

Speaking of Hamilton, he was pulled from the game early yesterday, due to shin splints. He won't play today.

(FWIW, this is something I was more concerned about than the drug thing. Maybe I'm naive, but I think he's turned the corner on the booze and crack stuff. But he was injury-prone even before the drug problem. Every season of pro baseball he's played has ended in surgery. Indeed, he says that's one reason he became addicted: injuries meant he couldn't play, and he was bored, with nothing to do all day. Anyway, with another player, you might say, "Suck it up! Play through it!" Probably not a good idea with Josh.)

Redleg Nation gave me a link. You know, sometimes I get the feeling people are making fun of me...

Here's Trent's article about Sunday's game, and the Dayton Daily News article about yesterday's.

Reds face the Rays at 1pm today. I'll be at work, alas. If you don't have Gameday, the best places to get live play by play are Trent's blog, and Red Hot Mama.

Hey, redszone.com is another site that runs a game thread and tends to be pretty good... it reminds me of nyyfans.com game thread. If the right people are on you can get pretty much play by play action. For what it's worth.... you do have to register (which is free) because if you're not the Reds Live page will show up as empty. It's been a pretty good find and the closest I've found to an active, play by play game thread. Later.

Yeah, it's becoming something of an issue among Reds fans. He probably doesn't realize how many sports fans are women these days. Probably close to half, especially among the younger ones more likely to frequent blogs.
