September 3, 2006: N.Y. Yankees 10, Minnesota 1

After all that rain, today was a beautiful day for baseball. Very fall-like, sunny, windy, and cool. (Yikes. Where'd summer go?)

Today was another easy win for the Yanks, giving them the series win over the Twins. A-Rod had a monster day. I'm kind of surprised that Joe waited so long to bring the scrubs in. He never did bring in Nieves for Jorgie. And of course, he really doesn't have anyone to sub for Damon.

The Clippers play the Mudhens again tonight, this time in Toledo. Once again, Bubba is playing CF and batting leadoff. This game is being broadcast on MiLB.TV (subscription required). You can also follow the game online here, or listen to a free radio broadcast here.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bubba ended up playing in Japan. That sometimes happens with players 30+ years old, who are in the minors, and who aren't getting a decent shot at the big league.

Would you please put a few screenshots from the final Clipper game up on the page?

And I hope to have a video clip from tonight's game (the sceond-to-last). Bubba had a really nice play in CF that screenshots wouldn't do justice to. ;-)
