Moose has the worst luck. Somehow, he never gets the run support the other starting pitchers get, and defensive errors tend to abound when he's pitching. This game was a classic example. De La Rosa shut out the Yankees, and the KC bullpen held this time. Bobby Abreu and Nick Green had errors, and Moose himself missed a bunt. At least A-Rod had no errors this time.
Really a sloppy game. I can't help wondering if they're feeling the lack of their "greenies" this year.
The Sox won their game, which means the lead is down to 8 games. Not exactly a nail-biter.
Last year at this time, the Yanks were playing a brutal stretch of games that amounted to a month-long playoff. Every game was a must-win, because the standings were so tight. I was going crazy from the tension and from the lack of sleep, staying up to watch all those games.
